Fall maintenance and cleanup around the Clubhouse.

This is open to everyone! We feed you lunch! Come down, meet some new people and get to know the Canoe Club. We are all volunteers - come when you can, and stay as long as you want!

Here’s our list of Projects.....
Security - Re-install fencing to hinder access. Rappel line found and removed. We have the poles, a driver, and rolls of 1/2” fencing.
Boat Rack - There are 24 boats and 8 SUPs with paddles in the lower shed. We need to get the boats out before any flooding. So getting the rack operational is key. We need to carefully deconstruct the current rack and prepare the foundations for rebuilding the boat rack behind the Chain Shed.
Bilge/Wheelroom - Prepare and paint frame and install plexiglass. Seal all crack against drafts. Bring your favorite scraper.
Power wash around Caretaker's apartment to remove dirt buildup
Rehang porch gutter over steps to drain away from building.
Main Room - Replace panes and paint. Painting - Window frames in Lower Shed bring your favorite brushes.
Inspect, Prepare, fill, prime and paint interior and exterior of all windows
Prep and paint doors to porch and porch ceiling.
Repair Kitchen Ceiling above closet
Repair Fascia on Chain Shed
Stabilize Banister to upper floor. Inspect steps
Inspect Chain Shed Roof and Framing.
Repair latch lower toilet door, both sets of doors on stone shed need attention to close more securely. All doors could use paint, many need drafts sealed up.
Repair Exterior Front Door Sidewalk - Install Anchors on service pipes add concrete or pavers to sidewalk at front door.
Patch Top Roof (muck and tape) - Clean Gutters. Determine which through roof stacks or vents are still in use.
Beach Restoration to improve ability to launch and land boats. Build Beach by removing rocks and silt at the point. Cut and fill.
Label Electrical Panels. Create service logs where needed (eg. Fire Extinguishers, Stove, Water cooler, boiler, water heater, appliances…)
Maintenance
Rake Lawn and maintain beds.
Weed beds.
Pull weeds from dock.
Pickup trash by location.
River/Creek Cleanup banks - From boats
Clear driveway drain.
Rototiller for weed control and then rake while improving drainage in driveway and PECO lot.
