HELPFUL INFORMATION:

Paddling is a wet sport. Please prepare for your class. Consider the weather and water temperature. Do not wear cotton, it absorbs water quickly, gets heavy and will chill you. Appropriate warm weather clothing may be a swimsuit, synthetic quick drying shorts and shirt. Water shoes or old sneakers for your feet, no sandals or flip-flops, protect your feet and especially your toes. (Flatwater canoe students: kneeling pad or wearable knee pads will make your day more comfortable). Bring extra clothing and a rain jacket. If you are not sure what to wear or bring, contact your instructor. Always have plenty of drinking water and snacks for energy. Paddling is fun, and when you are prepared your day is more enjoyable. We hope to see you in class.

For further information, please contact Looie Voorhees at looielooie1@yahoo.com.

Please Note: For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, we are requesting all participants wear a face mask at all times and maintain social distance when not on the water. Please bring your own mask and hand sanitizer. PCC will follow all current CDC guidelines.  Thank you.
